WORKING FROM HOME WITH SOCIAL INTELLIGENCE

Now that the home place is also the workplace for most of us during this #lockdown, there’s the temptation to neglect simple workplace ethics and basic principles of social intelligence. This post is a reminder to not be caught in that web.

So, for each time you hold that virtual meeting, make that work call or engage with your colleagues / teams, do it with your social intelligence intact and pay attention with empathy.

We can’t all have the exact same mental, psychological, economic and physical reactions in this period, neither can we process the shared hardship equally. Also, not everyone is working from their “comfort zone”. So, give allowance and pardon your colleagues if they’re not on the same frequency!

That you work in a pajamas does not warrant that you exhibit pajamas behavior. Be aware.
